NO WATER ON LIMESTONE
It’s never good to hose limestone down with water? Why? Its porous and the stone will absorb the water only to later return as white calcium deposits making the stone look weird and like something is wrong with it? Solution? ONLY SWEEP it….. Should it start showing calcium deposits take a fiber cloth preferably white. Run under water. Wring out and wipe clean with damp cloth. You may have to wipe it several times and have to repeat many procedures but eventually the stone will release all of the water. File under “thought you might like I know” Will post pic of limestone w water on it and a pic of what it looks like with calcium deposits

FALL PLANTING DAY FOR THE ORGANIC GARDEN
Today kicks off the fall planting in the organic garden at the main residence. Once again an unparalleled service provided by the experts at Green Tree Landscaping. Today we will be planting snap peas, shell peas, fennel, chard, mustard greens, lettuces and cabbage. Also we will be planting marigolds in between the lettuces to deter root knot nematodes, which can wreak havoc on a garden!! Great way to start the day!!
