2014 has been a big year for Estate Managers Coalition. As its co-founder and president, I’m proud to say that we’re growing to be the most influential estate managers coalition, an organization that the media, leading luxury companies, and individuals look up to when it comes to setting the standards for estate management globally. With plans to expand to London in New York in 2015, we’re planning to make the resources, networks, coaching and job placement that EMC provides available in many parts of the world. For now, here are some of the highlights of 2014.

We started of the year with a packed monthly meeting at our corporate member Gearys of Beverly Hills.

With a huge video wall, amazing furniture and design, Estate Managers Coalition February event at Christopher Guy is one to truly remember.

Our March event, “All Things Kitchen and Bath” at Porcelanosa, was a true spectacle.

The goal of all EMC events is to educate and connect, and the March meeting — Spring Fling at Unici Casa — was no exception.

In May, we had the honor of having Marianne Williamson speak at our event held at the chic Rose Tarlow.

In June, Frette Linens shared their expertise with the Estate Managers Coalition members at their Beverly Hills location. The event was part of EMC members-only masterclass series.

Our June event, “All Things Art” at Merry Karnowsky Gallery, was the perfect combination of learning and indulging. Special presentations included our corporate members AIG, US ART and Banner Packing.

“High End Auto” July event at O’Gara Coach Company, took our events to a whole next level. With a special presentation from O’Gara and Scott Elrod, from the Auto Concierge, and one of EMC’s very own private chauffeurs, Estate Managers learned how to purchase, store, maintain and most importantly drive luxury automobiles. The evening also included performances by Jake Simpson (OWN Network) and Tony Award-nominee Obba Babatunde (Dreamgirls) with Musical Direction by Gerald Sternbach.

In August, we held an event at Design Within Reach and welcomed organizational expert Andrew Mellen. Author of best-seller “Unstuff Your Life”, Mellen presented some of his time management and project management techniques to address the unique organizational challenges Estate Managers face while managing staff and juggling the ever-changing needs of our Principals.

In September, The Grove gave a special presentation showcasing everything and every service they have to make life easier for Estate Managers this holiday season.

In October, Netjets for hosted our Elite Luxury Travel event, with a generous raffle with trips to beautiful destinations around globe. The best EMC event yet!

We’re looking forward to many more events together!
