And here are a few tips exclusively for estate managers from EMC’s very own marble and stone expert James Basille, owner of Marble Shooters:
1.To insure that your natural stone will be as beautiful as the day that it
was installed, a proper maintenance program is needed. Dirt and dust will scratch the surface of stone. Therefore, stone floors should be vacuumed or dust mopped frequently to remove abrasive agents from the stone surface.
2.Natural stone should be cleaned with neutral ph cleaners.
3.Stone cleaners should never contain acid or bleach. Acids, even a light solution of vinegar and water, will etch and eventually damage natural stone.
